Munstead Wood is a Grade I listed house and garden in Munstead Heath near Godalming, Surrey, designed by architect Edwin Lutyens in the Arts and Crafts style to complement the landscape created by renowned garden designer Gertrude Jekyll, who lived there from 1897 to 1932. The property represents the first of approximately 120 influential collaborations between Lutyens and Jekyll in integrated house and garden design, establishing a model that would inform their later celebrated projects including Deanery Garden and Hestercombe House. Originally unified as a single property, Jekyll's grounds have since been subdivided into six plots, though the main house retains most of the original gardens and remains Grade I listed, with ancillary Lutyens-designed buildings on neighboring plots listed at lower grades. The entire estate is registered Grade I in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens; in 2023 the National Trust acquired Munstead Wood through private sale.
