The New Theatre in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is a Beaux-Arts structure completed in 1911 and reputedly modeled after the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City. Located at 11 North 10th Street, the building showcases the style's ornamental abundance through its richly decorated facade of glazed terra cotta tile, terra cotta brickwork, and elaborate border cartouches. Originally a performing arts venue, it transitioned to film exhibition in the 1940s before closing in the 1970s. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, the theatre has undergone sporadic restoration efforts since the 1990s and remains vacant.
