Niavaran Park is a public park in northern Tehran, situated immediately south of the Niavaran Palace Complex in the Niavaran district. Established in 1969 by order of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last shah of Iran, the 62,000-square-meter park exemplifies Pahlavi-era urban design and was designed by Amir Ali Sardar Afkhami. The landscape features extensive fountains occupying 3,320 square meters alongside 20,000 square meters of lawn and 8,000 square meters of flower gardens. Beyond recreational amenities—playgrounds, sports facilities, chess and ping pong tables—the park includes a Children's Cultural Center and library, a prayer hall, and four large pools. In 2000, a dedicated canal was constructed to supply water from the Niavaran aqueduct, ensuring the park's botanical and fountain features.
