Located at 46–47 Steep Hill in Lincoln, Norman House is a rare surviving example of Norman domestic architecture, constructed between 1170 and 1180. For centuries it was popularly known as "Aaron the Jew's House," attributed to the prominent 12th-century financier Aaron of Lincoln, though this identification is now considered incorrect. The building, which has long served commercial purposes and currently houses a tea importer, has been designated Grade I listed by English Heritage in recognition of its architectural and historical significance.
