Located at 123 East D Street in Upland, California, the Old Carnegie Library is a neoclassical structure completed in 1913 that served as the city's first public building. Designed by architect Homer W. Glidden in the Classical Revival style, the library features a projecting central entrance framed by two columns and brick pilasters supporting a plain frieze, a stucco parapet extending around most of the façade, and a cornice set above dentils. After operating as a library until 1969, the building was repurposed for community events and currently houses the Upland Public Library's Literacy Program while remaining owned by the City of Upland. The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
