Built around 1897 in Portland, Oregon, the Oregon Cracker Company Building is a food processing plant exemplifying Richardsonian Romanesque architecture at its finest in the city. Following an expansion in 1901, the structure gained recognition as one of Portland's most distinguished Romanesque Revival buildings. Notable for incorporating early examples of innovative structural features that would later become standard practice, the building was recognized for its historical significance when added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
