Located in the central village of Sosnowica, Poland, the Sts. Apostles Peter and Paul Church is an Eastern Orthodox brick structure built between 1891 and 1894 in the Russian Revival style. Designed by architect Viktor Syczugov, the church was constructed following the Chełm Eparchy's conversion to Orthodoxy in 1875, replacing an earlier Uniate structure that had fallen into disrepair. It served as the parish center until 1946, enduring displacement of its congregation during World War I and later repurposing as a warehouse after the post-1945 deportations of the Orthodox Ukrainian population. The building's historic furnishings were largely lost during this period. After 1989, the church was restored for liturgical use and now functions as a filial chapel, with the Divine Liturgy celebrated annually on its patronal feast day.
