The Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Szczecin's Old Town is a Brick Gothic structure built in 1425 on a site sacred since 1124, when Otto of Bamberg founded the original wooden church. Located at the corner of Castle Route and Tadeusz Mazowiecki Street, the brick edifice underwent profound transformations: it shifted to Lutheran denomination in 1534, was destroyed during artillery bombardment in the Scanian War of 1677, and was reconstructed in 1702. Since 1945, it has served as the seat of the Polish-Catholic Church's parish dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, the apostles traditionally credited with spreading Christian teachings in the first century. The church stands as an immovable architectural heritage monument in Poland.
