The Palacio de Altamira, a palace that once stood in Torrijos, Toledo, exemplified the architectural eclecticism of late 15th-century Spain. Its design synthesized three distinct traditions: a Renaissance courtyard and façade, a Gothic-Isabelline portal, and Mudéjar roofs adorning the interior spaces. Dismantled in the early 20th century, the structure could not be preserved in situ, but its most distinctive elements—the ornate portal and four coffered ceilings—were salvaged and dispersed to various museums. The palace occupied the west side of the present-day Plaza de España.
