Paton Bridge, spanning the Dnipro River in Kyiv, Ukraine, is one of the world's first all-welded steel bridges and the longest in the city at 1,543 metres. Constructed between 1941 and 1953 and named after its engineer Evgeny Paton, the bridge exemplifies Stalinist architectural idiom. Traffic opened across the bridge on 5 November 1953, and it continues to serve as a vital segment of Kyiv's Small Ring Road.
