The Stanislav-Adziogol Lighthouse, located near Oleksandrivka in the Dnieper Estuary roughly 30 kilometres west of Kherson, Ukraine, is a striking vertical lattice hyperboloid structure of steel bars designed by Vladimir Shukhov and completed in 1911. Rising 64 metres, it ranks as the tallest traditional lighthouse in Ukraine and the sixteenth-tallest worldwide. One of only two such hyperboloid lighthouses actively serving as navigation aids in the estuary, the structure exemplifies the high-tech architectural approach that defined Shukhov's innovative engineering practice.
