One of only two surviving diagrid hyperboloid transmission towers in the world, this 128-meter structure rises from the left bank of the Oka River near Dzerzhinsk in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Designed by Vladimir Shukhov and completed in 1929, it exemplifies the bold geometric principles of Constructivism, employing the engineer's signature hyperboloid form to achieve structural efficiency through elegant diagonal lattice work. Though its power lines were decommissioned in 1989, the tower remains a regional cultural heritage site, standing as testament to Shukhov's revolutionary approach to industrial architecture and engineering innovation.
