Located on a steep grade overlooking Higgins Pond in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, the Paul and Madeleine Weidlinger House is a single-story wood-frame residence designed by Paul Weidlinger, founder of the design firm Weidlinger Associates, and built in 1954 for his family. The house represents a synthesis of Modern architecture with traditional Cape Cod building traditions. Its dramatic siting is emphasized by one end projecting over the grade, while a wraparound deck on three sides and expansive glass doors frame views of the surrounding landscape. Located within Cape Cod National Seashore, the house was donated to the National Park Service in 1973 and subsequently became the subject of a 2012 lease agreement with the Cape Cod Modern House Trust. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
