The Peter Stauer House, a two-story brick residence completed in 1882 in McGregor, Iowa, exemplifies Queen Anne style design with its cross gable roof, decorative stone details, and wooden porch. Designed by local architect Elias White Hale Jacobs, the structure originally featured an attached frame wing at the rear. The house passed through the hands of prominent McGregor businessmen Peter Stauer and J. A. Ramage before earning recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
