Pioneer Village is an underground subway station on Toronto's Line 1 Yonge–University, situated at the boundary between Toronto and Vaughan, Ontario beneath Northwest Gate and Steeles Avenue. Completed in 2017 in a postmodern architectural style, it functions as a Metrolinx mobility hub integrating multiple transit modes: a TTC bus terminal serves the southern portion, while the Pioneer Village Terminal on the north side of Steeles Avenue connects passengers to York Region Transit buses. As one of the first Toronto subway stations to extend partially beyond the city limits since the 1998 amalgamation, Pioneer Village represents a significant expansion of the system into the regional periphery.
