Located at the corner of 15th Avenue and Washington Street in Phoenix, the Polly Rosenbaum Building is an 18,000-square-foot Moorish Revival structure completed in 1921 by architects Lescher & Mahoney. Originally constructed as the El Zaribah Shrine Auditorium to serve a local Shriners organization founded in 1896, the building exemplifies Exotic Revival design principles of its era. After the Shriners relocated to a new facility in 1989, the State of Arizona acquired the property to house the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum, renaming it in honor of Polly Rosenbaum, an Arizona House of Representatives member who championed its preservation and renovation. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and the Phoenix Historic Property Register, the building later served as the Arizona Centennial Museum during the state's 2012 centennial celebration.
