The Punta Carnero Lighthouse stands on a headland south of Algeciras, Spain, overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. Originally constructed in 1608, the structure was redesigned and rebuilt by Jaime Font—the same architect responsible for the Chipiona lighthouse—and opened in its current form in 1874. Rising 19 meters, this active lighthouse continues to serve maritime navigation in one of Europe's most strategically important waterways.
