The Punta de Arinaga Lighthouse stands on a rocky headland near the village of Arinaga in the municipality of Agüimes on Gran Canaria's southeastern coast. Built in 1897 and rising 13 meters, it is the third lighthouse tower to occupy this site, which strategically marks the coastline between the Maspalomas lighthouse to the south and the Punta de Melenara lighthouse of Telde to the north. The structure remains active today, serving as a navigational aid for maritime traffic in the Canary Islands.
