Located on the Edmond J. Safra Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Rabbi Dr. I. Goldstein Synagogue is a modernist house of worship designed in the organic architectural style by Heinrich Rau, a German-born Israeli architect, and David Resnick, a Brazilian-born architect. Completed in 1957, the synagogue was named to honor Rabbi Israel Goldstein, an American-born Israeli rabbi, author, and Zionist leader. The building has earned significant architectural recognition, ranked among the ten most beautiful synagogues in Israel and hailed as "without a doubt, a landmark in local architecture." In 1964, its innovative design received the Rechter Prize from the Israeli Architects Association.
