The Home Front to Front Memorial in Magnitogorsk, Russia, is a bronze and granite monument unveiled in 1979 that commemorates the city's industrial contribution to Soviet victory in World War II. Sculpted by Lev Golovnitsky and designed by Yakov Belopolsky, the composition depicts a home front worker facing east toward the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works passing a sword to a warrior facing west toward the front lines. The monument forms the first part of a symbolic triptych: the sword is forged here, then raised by the Motherland Calls statue in Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad), and finally lowered in the Warrior Liberator monument in Berlin. The composition includes a stone flower fashioned from Karelian granite with an eternal flame, anchoring this monumental bronze group in the landscape of labor and sacrifice.
