The Résidence de la Cambre, built in 1938–39 in the Ixelles district of Brussels, stands as the city's first high-rise building. Designed by architect Marcel Peeters, this 17-storey residential tower draws inspiration from New York Art Deco style, reflecting the modernist ambitions of its era. Located near the Place de l'Étoile and within a neighborhood notable for its concentration of Art Deco architecture, the building sits a short walk from La Cambre Abbey and the Ixelles Ponds. It was designated a protected monument on 14 July 2005.
