Rochester Cathedral in Kent, England, is the mother church of the Diocese of Rochester and seat of the Bishop of Rochester—the second oldest bishopric in England after Canterbury. Built in the Norman style on the site of an earlier cathedral, it was designed by Gundulf and originally constructed around 650. Now a Grade I listed building, the cathedral remains a significant landmark of medieval ecclesiastical architecture in England.
