The Roland Reisley House in Pleasantville, New York, is the third of Frank Lloyd Wright's "Usonia Homes" in the Usonia Historic District. Completed in 1951 and expanded in 1956, the residence was built by physicist Roland Reisley, who was only 26 when he commissioned the home after learning about the Usonia community in 1950. Sited on a hillside—Wright's design intention that the house appear organically "of the hill"—the structure features a masonry core with wood siding, cypress paneling, and indigenous stone. A dramatic cantilevered wood carport dominates the entrance, leading to a low-slung, understated design of 1,800 square feet originally, expanded by 1,400 square feet. The Usonia Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
