Rovaniemi Town Hall serves as the primary municipal administrative building for this Finnish city. Designed by the renowned architect Alvar Aalto in the 1960s as part of Rovaniemi's post-war reconstruction, the building was not completed until 1986, after Aalto's death. The structure features a central block with connected wings, positioning key administrative spaces—including the Mayor's office and City Council assembly hall—near the main entrance. It forms part of the 'Aalto Centre', a nationally protected complex that also encompasses Lappia Hall and the Rovaniemi library, unified by consistent exterior materials. Outside the main entrance stands a monumental 120-metre stone sculpture, *Vuorten Synty* ('The Birth of Mountains'), created by Finnish sculptor Kain Tapper in 1988 to commemorate Rovaniemi's rebirth following the Lapland War.
