Saint Mariane Church, a medieval Armenian structure completed in 1281, stands in the town of Ashtarak in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Built in the Armenian architectural tradition, the church now serves as an alternative seat of the Diocese of Aragatsotn of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The building occupies a prominent location within a rich ecclesiastical landscape; nearby churches include Karmravor, Spitakavor, Tsiranavor, and Surp Sarkis, with Saint Mariane being clearly visible across the gorge from Saint Sargis Church. The site also lies near a distinctive bridge from 1664 spanning the gorge, adding to the historical character of the area around this medieval Armenian religious monument.
