Saint Sarkis Monastery is a large monastic complex in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia, situated just outside the village of Ushi at a site that once hosted settlements dating to the 3rd–1st millennia BC. Measuring 45 by 54 metres, the monastery exemplifies Armenian architectural traditions across multiple periods and served as both a renowned pilgrimage destination and a center of spiritual education. The complex preserves fine examples of early Armenian architecture, and its significance is documented in the 18th century, when it received a visit in September 1734 from Abraham Kretatsi, who recorded the monastery's religious importance while traveling on a pilgrimage commissioned by Catholicos Abraham II.
