Sangtarashan Cave, located south of Jahrom in southern Iran, is an artificial excavation of dolostone that represents the largest hand-made cave in the world. Dating to approximately 150 years ago, the structure features multiple corridors, columns, and openings within a height of 3.5 meters and exemplifies Safavid architectural principles. Originally functioning as a quarry, the site has been designated as Iranian National Heritage and now operates as a show cave, though it technically remains an artificial excavation rather than a geological formation.
