The Šarena Mosque, located near the Pena River in Tetovo, North Macedonia, is an Ottoman structure originally built in 1438 and later rebuilt in 1833 by Abdurrahman Pasha. Its name, meaning "Decorated Mosque" or "Painted Mosque," reflects its ornamental character. Dating from before the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople, the mosque exemplifies traditional Anatolian design rather than the Byzantine-influenced dome architecture that became standard in Classical Ottoman mosques. Today it stands as a heritage site in North Macedonia.
