Located on the south end of Sayre, Oklahoma, along historic U.S. Route 66, the Sayre City Park is a public recreational area that formally opened in 1940. Built by the Works Progress Administration from designs by J.N. Willis, the park's most distinctive features are its bathhouse and swimming pool, designed in Pueblo Revival style with ornamental vigas. The park also includes a miniature golf course, gazebo, and tennis courts. Originally serving both local residents and Route 66 travelers seeking camping facilities, the park catalyzed the development of a nearby business district catering to tourism. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
