Seawall Campground, situated in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island off Maine's coast, exemplifies National Park Service rustic architecture and planning. Built largely between 1936 and 1942 by Civilian Conservation Corps crews, the campground features four loops accommodating both RVs and trailers via drive-up sites and walk-in tent-only campsites. The historic CCC-constructed section is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located in the village of Seawall in Southwest Harbor along Maine State Route 102A, the facility operates seasonally from late May through October.
