The Seth Warner House, built in 1869 at 631 N. Central Avenue in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, is the oldest surviving structure in the area. Designed in the Tuscan Villa Italianate style, the house features a rear verandah, bracketed cornice, and a cupola crowning its roof. In 1924, it was converted into the Austin Conservatory of Music, later becoming the Austin College of Music and eventually serving as a neighborhood arts center until 1979. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the house was designated a Chicago Landmark in 2022—one of only thirteen such landmarks predating the Great Fire of 1871.
