The Shah Abdol-Azim Shrine is a major Shia religious complex in Rey, Tehran Province, Iran, built around the tomb of Abd al-Azim al-Hasani, a ninth-century descendant of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson Imam al-Hasan. The shrine encompasses a multigenerational sacred landscape, with adjacent mausoleums housing Tahir (son of Imam Sajjad) and Hamzeh (brother of Imam Reza), making it one of Shia Islam's holiest sites. Architecturally, the complex reflects Ilkhanid, Safavid, and Qajar styles, though it was substantially rebuilt in its present form in 1854. Designated Iranian National Heritage in 1942, the shrine represents centuries of continuous religious veneration and architectural patronage.
