The Spanish Synagogue, located in Prague's Josefov district, is a former Reform Jewish synagogue completed in 1868 by architects Vojtěch Ignác Ullmann and Josef Niklas. Built in the Moorish Revival style on the site of the Old School, presumably the oldest synagogue in the area, it represents the Historicism and functionalist design principles of its era. In 1955, the synagogue was permanently converted into a Jewish museum administered by the Jewish Museum in Prague. Today, it stands as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, with a nearby modern statue of Franz Kafka by Jaroslav Róna situated in a small park between the building and the Church of the Holy Spirit.
