Designed by Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1908, St Jude's Church serves as the parish church of Hampstead Garden Suburb in north London. The church was built to serve the newly founded suburb, which Henrietta Barnett established in 1907 as a model community intended to foster social harmony among residents of all classes in carefully planned, attractive surroundings. Now Grade I listed, the building stands as a focal point of Lutyens's larger architectural vision for the suburb.
