St Sarkis Church, an Armenian Apostolic place of worship in Iverna Gardens, Kensington, London, stands as England's sole church constructed in traditional Armenian architectural style. Built in 1922–1923 by philanthropist Calouste Gulbenkian as a memorial to his parents, the Portland limestone structure was designed by architect Arthur Joseph Davis. Its design draws inspiration from the 13th-century freestanding bell tower of Haghpat Monastery, anchoring the building within Armenian ecclesiastical tradition. Now the seat of the Diocese of the United Kingdom of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Grade II* listed building represents a remarkable instance of Armenian architectural heritage transplanted to England.
