Saint Sarkis Church in Yerevan's Nor Nork district is an Armenian Apostolic Church completed in 1999 according to designs by architect Baghdasar Arzoumanian, with construction sponsored by New York-based Armenian benefactor Sarkis Gabrellian. The structure embodies traditional Armenian architectural principles through its circular form, polygonal three-storey design, and a main dome rising 23 metres. The bright polygonal prayer-hall spans 328 square metres, with the chief altar visible from every vantage point and twelve high-relief pillars symbolizing the apostles. Notable interior features include an altar painting of the Mother-of-God with Christ by painter Grigor Khanjyan, candle-lighting niches with smoke-protective fans, and underfloor radiant heating beneath marble flooring—a technological innovation marking it as Armenia's first church to employ such a system.
