The Steiner Building, completed in 1890 in Birmingham, Alabama, is a commercial structure designed by the architectural firm Wheelock & Wheelock in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The building exemplifies the robust masonry aesthetics and rounded arches characteristic of this late nineteenth-century American style, which drew inspiration from the medieval Romanesque tradition filtered through the influential work of Henry Hobson Richardson.
