The Riverside Iron Works Office Building, a four-story masonry structure at 1507–09 Main Street in Wheeling, West Virginia, exemplifies the Richardsonian Romanesque style in its original 1896 construction. Built of light-colored brick with stone trim, the building adopts a distinctive flatiron form—triangular in plan to fit its corner site. The first three floors feature hallmark Romanesque details: rusticated stone elements frame the rounded corner's ground level, while round-arched openings punctuate the facades for doors and windows. A simpler fourth floor was added around 1907, signaling a stylistic departure from the ornamental base. Originally commissioned as headquarters for Riverside Iron Works, Wheeling's premier steel manufacturer, the building served that function only briefly before the company's 1898 acquisition by National Tube Company. It was designated to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
