Built in 1890 for the Westinghouse Air Brake Company in Wilmerding, Pennsylvania, this office building exemplifies Romanesque Revival and Renaissance Revival styles. Designed by architect Frederick J. Osterling, the structure—known locally as the Castle or Library Hall—originally served as the company's general office. It was recognized by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation in 1975 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The building later housed the George Westinghouse Museum from 2006 to 2016. Following acquisition by the Priory Hospitality Group in 2016 with plans for a boutique hotel, the pandemic redirected its future; as of 2021, it was designated to accommodate the Westinghouse Arts Academy's art classrooms.
