Built in 1898 in Brandrup Township, Minnesota, the Stiklestad United Lutheran Church is a well-preserved example of Carpenter Gothic design that served as a spiritual and cultural anchor for the area's Norwegian immigrant community. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, the church was recognized for its architectural significance and its role in sustaining the religious and cultural identity of European settlers in Minnesota. The building exemplifies how faith-based institutions helped preserve immigrant heritage across the state's ethnic enclaves during the late nineteenth century.
