Built between 1832 and 1836 in Kerikeri in New Zealand's Far North District, the Stone Store is the oldest undamaged stone building in the country. Constructed by the Church Missionary Society to a Georgian design by architect John Hobbs, it originally served as a warehouse. The quality of its construction ensured its preservation long after the society's decline, and it was eventually acquired by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust. Today it operates as a tourist attraction and holds Category 1 heritage status with Heritage New Zealand.
