Storholmen Lighthouse is an active lighthouse built in 1920 on a remote skerry in Giske Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county on Norway's west coast, standing 22 metres tall. Located approximately 6 kilometres north of the island of Erkna and 8 kilometres northwest of Vigra, the lighthouse operates seasonally from mid-July until late May, remaining dark during summer months when the midnight sun makes artificial illumination unnecessary. Access to the isolated station presented extraordinary challenges: before automation in 1980, supplies and personnel had to be hoisted from boats in calm seas, and from 1970 onward were delivered by helicopter to an exceptionally narrow 4-by-4-metre landing pad that required exceptional pilot skill. The lighthouse is designated as a heritage site.
