On the Vassar College campus in Poughkeepsie, New York, the Students' Building (1913) was designed by Joseph Herenden Clark of the prominent architectural firm McKim, Mead & White. Originally constructed to house various student organizations and school functions, the building was repurposed in 1973 as a campuswide dining facility, now officially known as Gordon Commons and colloquially as the Deece or ACDC. A renovation in 2003 restored multipurpose student spaces to its upper floors, allowing the building to serve both dining and community gathering functions.
