The Supreme Federal Court Palace in Brasília is the seat of Brazil's highest judicial authority, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer with structural engineering by Joaquim Cardozo and completed in 1960. A modernist landmark, it stands as part of the Praça dos Três Poderes alongside the presidential palace and National Congress, forming the architectural heart of the nation's purpose-built capital. The building was designated a national heritage site by Brazil's Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN) in 2007, marking the centennial of Niemeyer's birth.
