The Swampscott Fish House, a shingle-style building designed by Henry Wade Rogers and erected in 1896 on Fisherman's Beach in Swampscott, Massachusetts, is the oldest active fish house in the United States. Built on land acquired through eminent domain, the structure was intended to consolidate the scattered fishing buildings that once lined the oceanfront, clearing views and enhancing the beach's appeal for swimmers. Today it houses both fishing supply operations and the Swampscott Yacht Club, whose quarters feature a porch and bar. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
