Built in 1929 for T. Ben and Nellie Loetscher, this two-and-a-half-story brick house in Dubuque, Iowa, represents a sophisticated example of early twentieth-century period revival eclecticism. Designed by local architect C.I. Krajewski, the residence skillfully blends Tudor Revival and Colonial Revival elements: its brick color, prominent chimneys, and roof style evoke the Tudor tradition, while large casement windows with transoms reference Colonial aesthetics. The principal entrance, with sidelights rising to the attic level, showcases decorative wood carvings in foliate and rope patterns alongside Bedford stone lintels and carved blocks bearing Italian Renaissance-inspired reliefs. A single-story brick addition to the southeast complements the main structure's composition. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
