Located in central Tallinn, the Tallinn Synagogue (also known as Beit Bella Synagogue) is an ultramodern glass structure completed in 2007. Inaugurated on May 16, 2007, it was the first synagogue to open in Estonia since World War II. The privately funded building features an airy, contemporary design that accommodates 180 people in regular seating, with capacity for up to 230 for concerts and public events. It was named Beit Bella in memory of Bella Barskaya, wife of Estonian economist and academician Mihhail Bronštein.
