Tamminiemi, an Art Nouveau villa in the Meilahti district of Helsinki, was designed by architects Gustaf Strengell and Sigurd Frosterus and completed in 1904. Originally named Villa Ekudden (Oak Cape), the seaside residence served as one of three official presidential homes from 1940 to 1982, most notably as the residence of President Urho Kekkonen from 1956 until his death in 1986. The roughly 450-square-metre house features living quarters on its first two floors and office space on the third, situated within a waterfront park. Since 1987, Tamminiemi has operated as the Urho Kekkonen Museum, preserving the president's domestic and political legacy.
