Tenney Park and the Yahara River Parkway are a pair of historic parks developed between 1900 and 1911 along the Yahara River in Madison, Wisconsin, designed by Ossian Cole Simonds, the pioneering figure of Prairie School landscape architecture. The parkway extends parallel to the river, culminating at the park where the Yahara meets Lake Mendota. Both landscapes exemplify the Prairie School aesthetic applied to open space design. The ensemble was recognized for its historical significance in 1999, when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the State Register.
