The Tensas Parish Courthouse stands on Courthouse Square in St. Joseph, Louisiana, serving as the parish seat of Tensas Parish. Designed by architect P.H. Weathers and completed in 1905, this Beaux-Arts structure features a tetrastyle pedimented portico at its main entrance, with matching porticoes on two additional facades. An English Baroque cupola, topped with a pressed tin balustrade, crowns the building; the cupola once housed a four-faced clock, now removed. The second-floor courtroom, documented at the time of the building's National Register listing in 1979, retains its original paneled judge's bench, witness stand, and jury box.
